Our ecological mission

Our message in a bottle

Did you know, that if we continue to live and waste like this, by 2050 there will be more pollution in the ocean than fish?

We're all responsible for taking care of the environment, for ourselves and for the upcoming generations.

At B.I.C.-Carpets we strive to meet the environmental regulations that protect the health and safety of our planet. We are committed to reach our goals of improvement concerning reducing the waste of our production process, our choice of ecological resources, our contribution to natural power sources, etc. We aim to take our projects to the next level through meaningful design that also meets the environmental statements.

What does this mean in practice?

We have developed our own ecological label to contribute to the ecological revolution. Our commitment to these ecological values & philosophy is as important to us as they are to our customers

Embracing our earthly home

First of all, your carpet is fabricated with solar energy on site, which makes the production process ecologically responsible. Because the right 'look and feel' is so important, we use yarns that shine like a natural fiber and have a great softness.

By using yarns like regenerated nylon, we reduce global waste and planet pollution, isn't that great? The natural luster of this product, its silky look and touch, the softness and smoothness make our eco-friendly collections the perfect solution for your luxury project!

Of course we also produce carpets with the highest quality of natural yarns such as wool, known for its durability and many ecological benefits.

What is regenerated nylon you may ask?

collections: Haven, Holden, Harbor, Softline & Magic

This eco-friendly material is made from rescued waste, recovered from the environment, mainly the oceans. 640,000 tons of fishing nets are abandoned in our oceans every year, turning millions of sea creatures into victims. Fortunately, those fishing nets are made of nylon, a high-performance plastic that is completely recyclable thanks to the regenerated nylon fiber.

By reprocessing this waste, we can help saving crude oils and avoid CO2 emission. The nylon waste is recycled back to its original purity. That means it maintains its original characteristics as virgin nylon. With this knowledge, nylon has the potential to be recycled infinitely, without ever losing its quality and beauty. Think cradle-to-cradle.
And finally, by using the waste, a direct consequence is that we efficiently eliminate waste that is causing pollution to our planet. Sounds like a win-win, right?

With regenerated nylon we offer you a safe process and a guarantee in purity and quality of the yarn.

Why do we choose to use wool in so many collections?

Collections: Atrar, bamboo, chelha, isul, luna, nature, pave berberi, pave de luxe, siwa, stone, superstyle, tosh, nautilus

Wool is 100% natural raw material grown year-round by millions of sheeps, consuming a simple blend of grass, water, air and sunshine. Next to that, it's a completely renewable fibre resource as sheep produce a new fleece each year. To finalize, natural fibres are totally biodegradable, as it is made of a natural protein, similar to human hair. When disposed of, wool decomposes in soil over time, releasing valuable nutrients back into the earth, acting like a fertiliser.

As you see, we have well thought about our ecological footprint in everything that we manufacture and produce.
The question we would like to ask you:

Are you eager to design with us a safe harbour for the future of our environment and all of mankind?
